The MTV Movie Awards 2011 red carpet was an homage to Balmain with three starlets choosing sparkly numbers to rival the pizazz of the golden popcorn awards.
From L - R:
Leighton Meester rocked up in a long sleeved dress from the Balmain Fall 2011 collection reminiscent of a disco ball with great shoes and perfectly tousled hair (as seen on the Balmain runway).
Mila Kunis sensibly added a simple black top to her multicoloured shiny mini skirt also from the Fall collection with dead straight Morticia Adams hair.
Kristen Stewart picks yet another winner on the red carpet with a red leather mini dress adorned with safety pins, studs and jewels from the Spring 2011 collection (in the style of this jacket from the Balmain runway). Really like the sexy tousled hair in this too, thank God that fugly mullet crop grew out so quickly!
All the ladies look fabulous but I think Kristen is getting better and better at picking her red carpet dresses so kudos to her and her stylist.
Love, SGS xoxo.

Fashion Fix Friday
Designers have been featuring real fur on the catwalks for the Fall/Autumn 2009 shows and of course angering the likes of PETA and fur-hating celebs such as Kim Basinger and Basil Brush.
For Designers faux fir is simply not an option... an ana.logy for us common folk, why have Tesco baked beans when Heinz is readily available?! Fur companies even provided some designers with the real stuff to encourage them to use it in their collections.
If I had plenty of $$$ would I buy real or fake?
I would like to, in all honesty, believe that I would buy faux.. after all I have morals and I like animals as much as the next person. Do I agree that killing an animal just for its fur is wrong? Completely.. I hate that thought but if the fur was sourced ethically from an animal that had deceased anyway is where I get into a grey area.
Luckily my current financial state means that I'm faux to go baby and will look to purchase a beautful faux friend in the upcoming month.
Above is a D&G pink fur sleeved creation, a faux feather coat from ASOS, and a Versace Blue fur coat. Think I'll stick with my opinions, and plump for the middle one.
Love SGS, xoxo.

What to wear at the office..
I just attended meeting about a magazine.. not anything uber trendy or remotely glam, just a community magazine that goes out to members of the public.
Women outnumbered men at at this meeting about 10-2 and I couldn't help notice what everyone was wearing.
My favourite outifit had to Lady 1, who wore a red shift dress to the knee with a black cardi and snakeskin shoes. She sort of looked like Michelle Dewberry- who won The Apprentice (before Lee( and left Sir Sugars' empire after 2 months.., stylish and practical.
Lady 2 wore a bright purple long sleeve stop, ruched at the shoulders, with a black belt, 3/4 trousers and grey suede heels. Earrings were dangly and sparkly.. stylish yes, but sort of more appropriaite for an after work knees up.
So where is the balance?
I think that to get it right you should start with the basics. Here are my top 5 tips..
1. Have a smart pair of black trousers that fit you.. not the trousers you wore when you were 17 but ones that are the right cut and can be worn with heels.
2. Shift dresses in any colour are great- versatile and can be dressed up and down.
3. Skirts have to be acceptable length, you may look Heidi Klumesque when you stand up but you don't want to show your lady bits when you sit down.
4. Scarves are your friend.. pashminas or neck scarves will jazz up any outfit, lift an all black outfit and may be good to cover the occasional spot on your chin.
5. Don't wear tights with holes in.. even if you are late! Julia Roberts rocked the Pretty Woman look, Trashy Woman is NOT a good look.
What am I wearing today?
All about the comfort.. let's leave it like that.
